What Every Child Needs
WHAT EVERY CHILD NEEDS Prov. 23:22-26 April 30, 2023 Pastor Sam DeVille Flint Baptist Church of Flint, TX Proverbs 23:22-26 22 Hearken unto thy father that begat thee, and despise not thy mother when she is old. 23 Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding. 24 The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him. 25 Thy father and thy mother shall be glad, and she that bare thee shall rejoice. 26 My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways. -Every Child Needs A Shepherd A good shepherd leads their sheep, guides them to the best pastures, protects them from predators and enemies, and knows what is best for the flock. When a sheep goes astray, a good shepherd will rescue them. -Every Child Needs a Sentry A parent should strive to protect their children’s ears, eyes, and minds, and must be on watch against the powers and spiritual wickedness. -Every Child Needs Security Wives should honor their husbands, and husbands should love their lives. Be intentional, not reactive. -Every Child Needs a Savior All children are born as members of a fallen race, they are sinners. Children need to be exposed to Christ. They need to understand sin and how to turn from it.
